Lottery helps kids

Tickets are now available for the sixth annual Variety Children’s Charity Lottery, which directs proceeds to B.C. children with special needs.

Money raised helps fund special equipment such as wheelchairs or wheelchair lifts; therapy and assessments; medical supplies and pharmaceuticals; and medical travel and accommodation expenses for parents to be with their child.

Every lottery ticket purchased gives participants a chance to win one of four grand prize choices.

Winners can choose a $2-million package featuring a fully furnished, 6,000-square-foot mansion near Port Moody; a $1.8-million option including a lake-view property in Kelowna; another $1.8-million package with a home in Predator Ridge Resort in Vernon; or $1.4 million tax-free cash.

Those who purchase tickets before March 28 at midnight will be entered to win one of three vacation prizes.

For tickets, call 604-697-8946 or 1-877-WOW-UWIN; visit www.varietylottery.ca; or stop by Pharmasave, Best Buy or Fraser Downs Racetrack and Casino.
