The Fraser Region Aboriginal Friendship Centre Association will offer an eight-week program focusing on the seven sacred teachings starting Tuesday.
The program, for children up to the age of six, will run weekly on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Cloverdale Rodeo Exhibition Association.
Each week, there will a craft, songs, activities and a light snack.
The seven sacred teachings will begin with Eagle/Love on Sept. 24, followed by Buffalo/Respect (Oct. 1), Beaver/Wisdom (Oct. 8), Bear/Bravery (Oct. 15), Turtle/Truth (Oct. 22), Big Foot/Honesty (Oct. 29), Wolf/Humility (Nov. 5) and will end with Medicine Wheel on Nov. 12.
