Ocean Park community garage sale set for Saturday

Fifty households expected to participate, with some vendors donating proceeds to charity

With an estimated 50 homes expected to participate, the sixth annual Ocean Park community garage sale should have something to suit everyone’s taste and budget when vendors set up their tables this Saturday (May 25).

And in many cases, shoppers will be making a donation to worthy cause with their purchase.

Among the neighbourhood homeowners taking part this year are several who have chosen to donate at least a portion of the proceeds from their sales to charity, said realtor Lesley Hames, who is organizing the event with Wendy Fulford.

Charities expected to benefit from this year’s sale include the BC Cancer Foundation, BC Wildfire Relief (through the Red Cross), Sources Food Bank and Covenant House.

An event page has been set up on Facebook. Search Ocean Park Garage Sales.

Sales begin at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. Visitors are asked to enter off 128 Street.
