OWL open house this weekend

These volunteers are dedicated to public education and the rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned birds.

Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (OWL) volunteer June Young holds Snoopy, a saw-whet owl and OWL education bird at a recent event in Delta.

The society is holding an open house on April 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3800 72 St.

A bird release will take place at 1 p.m. each day.
