It was an event not seen every day.

More than a dozen seniors and teens broke out in dance Thursday afternoon (June 4) at Semiahmoo Shopping Centre, in an intergenerational flash mob.

The performance was a showcase of collaboration between the generations – the teens, in Grades 11 and 12 at Semiahmoo Secondary, and the seniors, residents of Evergreen Baptist Care Home – that was two months in the making.

The participants got to know each other in the weeks prior through sharing stories and rehearsing for the dance, which took place near the food court and was set to Uptown Funk.
