An art show inspired by a recent mission trip to Guatemala is on display at the Wired Monk in Cloverdale through Saturday (June 16).
Guatemala: A Story of Justice, was organized in the weeks following an April trip by Grade 11 students to the impoverished country.
It features art from each of the teens, created based on their perspective of an injustice in Guatemala and the hope for restoration.
Mediums used vary from photography and sculptures to paintings and collages.
The aim of the show is to raise awareness of Guatemala and collect donations for Mission Impact, an organization that supports community development initiatives in Guatemala.
The Wired Monk is located at 16811 160 St. For more information or to donate to the cause, contact Kristi Swarbrick at 604-531-9186, ext. 126.
