Public input on accessibility and housing requested

People with disabilities and families invited to participate in provincial discussion

The provincial government is inviting people with disabilities and their families to participate in an open discussion for improving housing and accessibility in B.C.

Suggestions and comments from the online forum – which opened on Nov. 13 – will contribute to the White Paper and help to guide the development of the the document, which will be the foundation of a summit in June 2014, according to the province's website.

The paper will address issues facing people with disabilities in B.C. and the "broader built environment" including homes, buildings and transit.

Dozens of participants have already begun posting suggestions.
