• Two great ways to keep active and moving with White Rock Recreation and Culture is on the ice or in the gym.

Every Wednesday and Friday, if you are 50 and over and enjoy skating, drop down to Silver Blades and take some spins around the ice.

If you prefer to get your cardio on a treadmill or elliptical, our small, intimate White Rock Community Centre Cardio Gym would be a great choice. No crowds and a friendly atmosphere. Daytime, evening and weekend hours available. Pre-register to drop in for both activities at whiterockcity.ca/register or call 604-541-2199.

• Here is a perfect activity to do on these rainy, cool fall days. Drop down to the White Rock Museum and Archives on Marine Drive and check out their latest exhibit – Lest We Forget: White Rock During the War Years.

Thousands of men and women served their country on the frontline. Many more stayed home in White Rock and served in the workforce, in convalescence, and in voluntary service organizations – wherever they were needed. Explore the history of White Rock at war through the museum’s collection and archival material.

This exhibit will be shown in the museum gallery until Nov. 14. For more information, please visit www.whiterockmuseum.ca or call 604-541-2221.
