• Bring along a friend or family member to a Christmas Cracker workshop this Saturday, Dec. 9, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kent Street Activity Centre. Create two beautiful Christmas pull crackers for your holiday celebrations and learn about the origins of the pull cracker and its use during the holiday season. • Kent Street Coffee Shop volunteers will be taking a well-deserved Christmas break with their last day of operation being Friday, Dec. 15. The coffee shop will re-open and frozen meal sales will start on Monday, Jan. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Kent Street Activity Centre 2024 memberships are on sale now. This membership is in effect until December 31, 2024. Memberships can be purchased at the Kent Street Activity Centre, White Rock Community Centre and Centennial Park Leisure Centre and online at whiterockcity.ca/register. If you purchase online and are a new member, remember to drop into any of our Recreation Centres to pick up a new membership card. A 2024 membership is only $42 and gives you an opportunity to participate in 17 different activity groups, receive member pricing for all Kent Street Activity Centre special events and receive $5 off any day excursion.
• Tickets are still available for the Kent Street Chorister’s Joys of Christmas Concert on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kent Street Activity Centre. Tickets are only $10; children 12 years and under are $5. Purchase your tickets at the Kent Street Activity Centre or from any choir member. Call 604-541-2199 for more information.
• Join Cathy Donn Herrera, a registered Holisitc Nutritionist and Fitness Expert for a variety of interactive workshops to learn strategies that you can implement today for a healthier lifestyle. • Spend a fun night out at The Kent Street Activity Centre enjoying the great tunes of the Silver Stars on Dec. 13. The last Wednesday dance of the year is on Dec. 20 and features Sweet Water.
