Volunteers with a Class 4 driver’s licence are needed to drive seniors in a 24-passenger minibus on a variety of day excursions throughout the Lower Mainland.

If you are recently retired or have some extra time to share with others, please consider this opportunity and give us a call at 604-541-2231.

All meals and venue admissions are free for the driver when on a day trip.

The Kent Street players present “A Collection of Senior Moments” – a series of short comedy skits from everyday senior occurrences, to the absurd and hilarious – next month.

Directed by Rita Humphreys, this play will be performed on June 2 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the Kent Street Activity Centre. Light refreshments will be provided.

Snooker is one of the most popular games at the Kent Street Activity Centre.

Four snooker tables are available and all levels of play are encouraged. Both men and women drop in regularly to play this exciting game.

In addition, the snooker club holds two tournaments a year.

You can try out snooker free three times with a guest pass before purchasing a recreation and culture membership.

Essential oil blending is an art form.

Learn how to create effective therapeutic blends with a pleasing scent in a two-hour workshop on May 7, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Kent Street Activity Centre.

All participants will create their own take-home blend.

Kent Street Activity Centre invites all cribbage and bid whist players every Thursday, 1-3:15 p.m. in the auditorium.

This friendly social group welcomes new players each week, so don’t be shy, drop on by and check us out.

The Kent Street Choristers present There’s a Meetin’ Here Tonight on Friday, May 18, 7:30 p.m., at the White Rock Baptist Church, 1657 140 St.

Tickets for this fabulous concert are available from choir members or at the Kent Street Activity Centre – $15 each, children 12 and under are free.

The Kent Street auditorium is open Wednesday evenings 7:30-10:30 p.m. for all those 50+ who enjoy live music, friendly people and social dancing. Tickets are available at the door starting at 7 p.m.
