Southridge fair set for next month

More than 450 families at Southridge School have donated their time and goods to the 16th annual Country Fair.

The May 7 event is to feature bargains galore, including all the clothing one can stuff in a bag for $10, the recycled treasures dollar store, hundreds of children’s toys and antique finds.

Visitors can also buy a gift basket for their mothers, hanging flower baskets for Mother’s Day and blueberry pies.

Other activities include games and rides – including a giant slide, merry-go-swing, mini golf course and two bouncy castles – clowns and balloons, face painting, the ‘cake walk’ and food. The event goes 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school, 2656 160 St. For more, visit www.southridge.bc.ca
