Spreading safety message

Surrey ambassador educating others on importance of playing safe

Surrey’s Aimee Brennan joined the War Amps float at the Peace Festival Parade in Penticton this month to spread the message of playing safely.

Brennan – a member of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program – joined the float as a safety ambassador. In that role, Brennan has met with children who have lost limbs in accidents that could have been prevented.

This year’s theme for the float is “Safety is no accident – spot the danger.”
