White Rock Elks will be hosting a “grand salute” to all things English with their annual St. George’s Day Celebration.
The April 20 event held at the Elks’ upstairs lounge, 1469 George St., will feature the music of DJ Johnnytwocoats and a hearty English meal of bangers and mash, with fried onions and gravy.
Volunteers organized the event in recognition of the national day of England – in which the country celebrates its patron saint.
Proceeds will benefit charities and organizations supported by the Elks.
Cost for tickets (19+) is $10. The evening will kick off at 4.
