State of the city speech set for Sept. 13

Mayor Wayne Baldwin to highlight accomplishments and share plans for future.

White Rock Mayor Wayne Baldwin will deliver his State of the City address Sept. 13 at the White Rock Community Centre, 15154 Russell Ave.

The annual address, hosted by the South Surrey White Rock Chamber of Commerce, is to highlight the city’s accomplishments and share plans for the future.

It will be Baldwin’s first time giving the address. He was elected mayor in November 2011, five years after retiring from a 23-year run as the city’s chief administrative officer.

The evening’s events get underway at 5:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $33.60 for chamber members and $39.20 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.
