Laronde Elementary students and parents got into a festive spirit last week, as they gathered together to sort, organize and pack Christmas hampers, which were set to be delivered to families in North Surrey this week.
Each class at Laronde sponsored a student and his or her family for a total of 16 hampers, which were filled with toys, clothes, food and other gifts.
Grade 6 student Lachlan Statnyk, along with classmates Jackson Hogg, Chloe Beck and Devon Karvat, also spearheaded a bottle drive, which raised $60 for the hampers.
A craft fair and raffle draw also helped raise money for the cause.
