Students wrapping up a healthier Christmas

Rosemary Heights Elementary Grade 6 and 7 students will be at the Toy Jungle in South Surrey Saturday wrapping presents by donation.

Leadership students from Rosemary Heights Elementary are hoping to wrap up a storm of support for Peace Arch Hospital this weekend.

From noon to 5 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 16, members of the Managers’ – Grade 6 and 7 leadership students – will be at Toy Jungle in Morgan Crossing (110-15850 26 Ave.), offering present-wrapping services by donation.

The hospital is the Managers’ charity of choice, and so far, fundraising efforts have generated at least $500 for the cause – an amount donated to PAH by Saunte Medical & Laser Spa on the group’s behalf.

The students hope to at least double the total, a goal the public can help achieve by liking on Facebook a photo of a tree the students decorated for the The Shops at Morgan Crossing’s Forest of Light.

Teacher Megan Short said Saunte has pledged to donate an additional $1 per ‘like’ that the photo receives through Dec. 31.
