Surrey firefighters chip trees for charitable society

Schools host tree-chipping events Saturday and Sunday

Surrey Fire Fighters Charitable Society hosted its annual tree-chipping event on Saturday (Jan. 5) in Newton and Guildford.

The fundraiser is by donation and goes to support the society’s charitable efforts.

The society’s tree-chipping event runs until 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Several schools have tree-chipping events on today until 3 p.m. and will be collecting trees on Sunday, Jan. 6.
