Team effort in South Surrey introduces disabled young athletes to sport

A new Special Olympics program is starting up in South Surrey next month.

Amadea de Wit, 11, and Charlotta Clayton, 13, are looking forward to a new Special Olympics Sport Start program that gets underway at South Surrey’s Bayridge Elementary Oct. 1.

Amadea (left) will be helping her parents coach participants like Charlotta in entry-level sports, starting with indoor soccer and basketball.
