Alex Fest is all about family on Saturday, May 27, with a marketplace, performances and more on the schedule between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The children’s zone includes a bike parade, sports-day relay, a skateboarding demo and ponies; while music, interactive demonstrations and magic are all on-stage.
Then on Sunday (May 28), it’s all about music. Limited to those aged 19 and older, there will be a beer garden, food and vendors on the grounds from 1-6 p.m.
Admission on both days is by donation.
The festival has been running since 1974 – with the exception of a two-year, pandemic-related hiatus in 2020 and 2021. It launched with the intent to create fun and connections for children and adults alike, while providing a space to showcase a range of talents and services.
Camp Alexandra is located at 2916 McBride Ave. For more information, including on how to volunteer at the festival, visit alexhouse.net, email communityprograms@alexhouse.net or call 604-535-0015.
