White Rock cyclist back in the saddle for lung health

White Rock's Valerie Gallant is to cycle 200 kilometres in September in support of the B.C. Lung Association.

Cycling 200 kilometres might seem like a long haul to most, but for White Rock cyclist Valerie Gallant, the BC Lung Association’s annual Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath is a weekend event she pencils in every year.

The two-day, fully supported weekend fundraiser takes place Sept. 7 and 8, with participants ranging from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist.

Since the event was first established in 1984, nearly $6 million has been raised for the cause.
