Auditions are fast-approaching for Surrey Little Theatre's mystery comedy scheduled to hit the stage in the new year.
The theatre company is presenting Peter Colley's I'll Be Back Before Midnight Jan. 28 to Feb. 21 and director Rita Price is looking to build the cast.
Auditions will be held Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. at the theatre, located at 7027 184 St.
Roles to be filled include:
• a married couple, between 30 and 50 years old;
• one odd, male farmer between 50 and 70; and
• one female, sister of the husband.
The play is a twisted tale combining comedy and mystery. It follows Jan, who's recently had a nervous breakdown, and her husband Greg, who has rented a farmhouse in the country where his wife can recover. When George the eccentric farmer that they rent from tells stories about a murder that took place in the house and the ghost that stalks in the night, Jan's imagination fires up. Things only get worse when Greg's sister arrives.
