In Surrey on March 15, the Let’s Hear it BC JUNOS Plaza Party headliners are (from left to right) Tyler Joe Miller, Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga, and Sarbjit Cheema.

Surrey-area JUNO Awards nominees will headline the city's free-admission Let’s Hear it BC JUNOS Plaza Party on Saturday, March 15.

Tyler Joe Miller, Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga will perform during the day-long concert at Surrey Civic Plaza, along with Sarbjit Cheema and more than two dozen other musicians on six stages.

A variety of musical genres will be showcased including country, pop, Punjabi, folk, family and more, from 2 to 10 p.m. The festival will also feature a 5X Art Party with South Asian DJs, family programming, food trucks and a licensed area.

Headliners were announced Thursday (Feb. 20) for the Surrey event, part of a series of six concerts in B.C. leading up to the 2025 JUNO Awards, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Sunday, March 30.

The full Plaza Party artist lineup will be posted on surrey.ca/junosplazaparty.

A few Surrey-area musicians are among JUNO Awards nominees. In the Country Album of the Year category, Surrey-raised Tyler Joe Miller is nominated for "Going Home." Finalists for the inaugural South Asian Music Recording of the Year Award include the Surrey trio of Chani Nattan, Inderpal Moga and Jazzy B, for "Coolin."

Neesha Hothi, director of marketing and communications for the Vancouver JUNO Host Committee, calls the Surrey Plaza Party "a powerful showcase of music that reflects the talent and diversity that define our province while meaningfully representing the local community," she said in a news release.

“As a long-standing hub for South Asian artistry and innovation, Surrey is the perfect place to celebrate the introduction of the JUNOS’ new South Asian Music Recording of the Year category. From homegrown country stars to groundbreaking Punjabi artists, this festival is a testament to the voices and cultures shaping Canadian music today. We’re excited to bring the energy of the JUNOS to Surrey and unite music fans for an unforgettable celebration.”
