New Westminster's annual Recovery Day BC event will feature a free-admission concert by Merkules on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Surrey-raised rapper, fresh from a cross-Canada tour with Snoop Dogg, will perform on a stage set up near 6 Avenue and 6 Street, along with Dreams (a Fleetwood Mac tribute), R&B All-Stars, A Night of Bowie, Dr. Strangelove, DJ Chloe and others.
Last year's Recovery Day event filled the streets with close to 40,000 people.
Billed as "Canada's largest mental health and addiction recovery community event," the popular gathering includes free music, a health fair, food trucks and other vendors, a play zone for kids and much more. Look for more details on recoverydaybc.ca.
