The winning artists in the Silver Screen Classics Competition and Exhibition have been announced.
An opening reception for the Newton Cultural Centre exhibit, which highlights about 20 pieces of art influenced by movies from the 1930s and 1940s, was held Tuesday night.
First place went to Shadows of Green Timbers by Ferdinand Maravilla, second was for Wendy Mould's The Lady Vanishes, and third went to Love Happy by Glenda Mantle. Honourable mention went to Preminger's Finest by Leah Philcox-McCullough.
