The latest paintings of Courtenay-born and raised artist Ray Ward will be featured in a solo show, Coast Lines, opening Sunday, June 3, noon to 4 p.m. at White Rock Gallery, 1247 Johnston Rd.
Returning to the wild landscapes of his youth, Ward’s rich and evocative canvases succeed in capturing all the colours and moods of the Pacific Coast and also gained him the grand prize in this year’s International Artist Magazine Landscape Challenge.
