The intersection at 152 Street and 72 Avenue in Surrey was closed due to a fuel spill Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 15).

A fuel spill caused the closure of a major Surrey intersection just ahead of the afternoon commute Wednesday (Jan. 15).

Surrey Police Service issued a release to advise the public of the fuel spill, and the closure of the intersection at 152 Street and 72 Avenue Wednesday afternoon, to allow Surrey Fire Service crews to clean up the spill.

Police encouraged motorists to take alternate routes, as delays were expected to last throughout the afternoon.
