1. 2 more Surrey schools will see extended days due to overcrowding

"Due to a continued shortfall of classroom spaces, two more schools – Fraser Heights Secondary and Sullivan Heights Secondary – will be moving to an extended day model for next year."

2. Surrey council approves $4.3M for fire dispatch help

Politicians also directed city staff to pursue a $2 million grant from the Union of B.C. Municipalities to procure computer-aided dispatch equipment.

3. Surrey libraries host spring break programs for kids

With both in-person and online options, activities abound for many different interests.

4. 'Nutritious' $5 meals coming to Peace Arch Hospital for seniors

Dishes such as vegetarian lasagna and shepherd's pie are among those included in the program's rotation. Priced at $4.99, the meals are available Monday to Friday, from 4-5:30 p.m.
