Need something to do over the holiday break?
With many experiencing time off — or a slower work week — for Christmas and New Year's, there's still plenty to do around the Lower Mainland, including White Rock, where holiday break skates are on now until Jan. 5, 2025 at Centennial Arena.
With a new theme to skate to every day, the drop-in ice skating events offer something fun and active for local residents of all ages — and even visitors from out of town.
Skaters can enjoy themes including 'Twas the Night Before Skate' on Dec. 24, the 'Holiday Ho Ho Hoedown' on Dec. 26, 'Hot Chocolate Skate' Dec. 30, the 'Canadian Flannel Fun Skate' Jan. 1 and a 'Skate Through the Eras' skate on Jan. 2, among others.
Family skate rates apply at each skate, which run from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Dec. 21 to Jan. 5 (closed on Dec. 25).
There's also Family Stick 'N Puck from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
