'Impossible to pick just 1': Plenty of variety in White Rock poll response

Housing, homelessness and affordability among top issues for PAN readers

Housing, homelessness and affordability are among the top issues facing White Rock in 2025, according to a recent reader poll.

A recent poll on the Peace Arch News website shows readers have a wide variety of opinions on the issues facing the City of White Rock in 2025.

An online poll asked PAN readers, "What is the biggest issue facing the City of White Rock in 2025?

Among the response options provided, "It's impossible to pick just one" drew the most votes, with 37 readers (24.18% of responses) voting for it.

In a close second was Housing and homelessness, with 33 votes, or 21.57%.

Crime and safety attracted 24 votes (15.69%), while Finances: taxes, affordability, cost of living drew 16 votes (10.46%). Fifteen respondents cast their vote for Health care (9.80%), and another 14 chose Development and infrastructure (9.15%).

Seven readers voted for Traffic and transportation (4.58%); School funding and overcrowding received only 3 votes (1.96%), the same as Toxic drug crisis.

Other received one vote (0.65%), with a total of 153 voting in the online query.

The poll was added in late December to the PAN website, peacearchnews.com
