Pedestrian seriously injured in Surrey

Police in Surrey responded to a call around 8 p.m. Friday (Nov. 1) of a pedestrian who was struck by a pickup truck in the 8800 block of 144 Street.

A person is in hospital in critical condition after being struck by a truck when they were attempting to cross the road in Whalley Friday (Nov. 1).

Police in Surrey responded to a call around 8 p.m. of a pedestrian who was struck by a pickup truck in the 8800 block of 144 Street.

"The truck was making a left-hand turn, westbound onto 88th Avenue, when it struck the pedestrian, resulting in significant injuries." reads a Surrey RCMP release Friday (Nov. 1). 

The driver is cooperating with police. 

Police ask anyone with information, including dash cam footage around in the 8800 block of 144 Street around 8 p.m. Friday is to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file# 24-162958.
