Surrey RCMP, first responders attend incident in Clayton Heights

Large police, first responder presence in Cloverdale neighbourhood

There was a large police and first responder presence in the Clayton Heights neighbourhood of Surrey Monday evening (Nov. 25).

Surrey RCMP, firefighters and paramedics  attended a residence on 192 Street just north of 76 Ave, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, responding to what was originally called in as "shots fired," RCMP said in an email.

The incident turned out to be mischief.

It is unclear if the residence is related to the incident.

"It appears an unknown person smashed a vehicle window with a hammer. No one was injured," Surrey RCMP Sgt. Tammy Lobb said in the email.

"There were no firearms used in the incident."

The investigation is still in the early stages.
