Police in Surrey recently conducted over 150 vehicle traffic stops to address "dangerous driving behaviours" in Strawberry Hill.

At the start of September, the Surrey RCMP South Community Response Unit (CRU) started a targeted enforcement operation in the area.

Police issued 56 violation tickets, impounded seven vehicles and issued two immediate roadside prohibitions. Additionally, three prohibited drivers were charged, one drug investigation started and three files opened for street racing and stunting.

Our aim is to target the dangerous driving behaviours in the Strawberry Hill area. The goal of this enforcement is to educate and enhance road safety for the drivers and pedestrians of the shopping complex, Sgt. Robert Keay, South Community Response Unit, said.

Police ask anyone who wants to report dangerous driving behaviour or suspicious activity to contact them at 604-599-0502.
