Softball City in South Surrey will soon be a great place to catch some exciting fastpitch games.
With the 2024 Men’s World Fastpitch Tournament set for Aug. 10 to 17, athletes and fans from around the globe will come together for a week of thrilling fastball action, showcasing top talent from Canada, Australia, and beyond.
"We are thrilled to welcome the Men’s World Fastpitch Tournament to Surrey," said Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke in a release.
“As a sports destination city, Surrey is proud to play host to 1,000 players from more than 10 countries for an exhilarating week of competition. Council and I look forward to cheering on all the exceptional athletes as they compete for top honours in men’s fastpitch.”
Organized by the Canadian Amateur Sport Society, the international event promises to captivate spectators with both on-field action and a variety of family-friendly activities.
"Hosting the Surrey 2024 ISC Men’s Fastpitch World Tournament is a pivotal moment for showcasing club-level excellence in Western Canada," said Chris Santos, International Softball Congress president. “The event will ignite interest and foster global growth in men’s fastpitch."
