Vancouver Canucks players took the time to meet and greet Abbotsford hockey fans, who braved the wet weather prior to the club's preseason game against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday (Sept. 25).
Fans lined up starting at around 3 p.m. for a 4:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. scheduled players entrance and greeting on Wednesday.

Players arrived at around 4:35 p.m., with many of the Canucks, including Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes, spending about 15 minutes signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
The game inside saw fans leave happy as the Canucks scored a 4-3 overtime win over the Calgary Flames. Free agent signing Jake DeBrusk scored a pair of goals, including the game winner. Vancouver also got goals from Max Sasson and Daniel Sprong (power play goal). The Flames got goals from Jake Bean, Samuel Honzek and Dryden Hunt.
Hughes collected two assists and Pettersson added one helper. Goalie Jiri Patera made 16 saves to record the win. Vancouver outshot Calgary 32-19 in the contest, with Hughes, Sprong and Kiefer Sherwood all recording four shots on goal.
Vancouver next travels to Seattle to play the Kraken on Friday (Sept. 27) and then plays the Flames in Calgary on Saturday (Sept. 28). The Canucks and Oilers play in Edmonton on Monday (Sept. 30). The club wraps up the preseason by hosting Edmonton on Oct. 4 and then open the regular season against Calgary in Vancouver on Oct. 9.
