Editor,

An open letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau:

Your father, Pierre Eliot Trudeau, said that Canada should diversify its trade but did very little about it. DItto, Canada's other prime ministers, including you. So, why not stop the flow of Canadian oil to the States so that we can see tens of thousands of Canadians, instead of Americans, refining it? Your father would agree even though he failed to act on this concern. You so-called leaders have made suckers and patsies of Canadians.

The same applies to Canada's other raw resources. According to Alberta's premier, Danielle Smith, Canada has been feeding its ores to American smelters: Why? And, ironically, why has Danielle Smith been selling her province's oil so cheaply for refinement in the States?
