Editor,
I am a senior living in White Rock on Merklin Street, just above White Rock City Hall and library.
Some time after my husband, councillor Larry Robinson, passed 12 years ago, a great deal of money was spent on upgrading the existing city hall. So why spend more taxpayer money on knocking it down for highrises which nobody wants?
Adding floors on to the existing facilities make a great deal more sense if we need to enlarge them owing to an increase in our population growth.
We, the residents, love our local library and city hall exactly where it is and where it should be. The library is our social outlet in many cases.
Why change a good thing? Please, please leave it where it is!
Ann Robinson, White Rock
