LETTER: My apologies for 'violent hate' towards Trump

Even 'despicable, mean-spirited and truly awful' people didn't deserve threats of violence

Editor,

I have had quite a response from readers of your Letters to the Editor column (re: Time to play hardball, Peace Arch News, Jan. 23).

Really, there is no excuse for it. I should not have expressed such violent hate feelings. I apologize.

Come on guys, lighten up. Of course, I wouldn't want to see any person, however despicable, mean-spirited, and truly awful, beheaded and sent back to America. That's stupid.

However, kudos must go to our Peace Arch newspaper for having had the guts in the name of free speech to publish my comments. I am sure many Canadians in our wonderful country could think of more terrible things to heap on that Ugly American, our neighbour Trump.
