As a business owner in Uptown White Rock, I couldn’t be more excited about the proposed Community Hub at 1510 Johnston Rd. This project is exactly what our community needs—a central, transit-friendly space that brings people together and supports our growing city.
The Hub’s mix of services, as highlighted in the city’s report—including a new city hall/theatre, library, daycare, foundry, and potential affordable housing—will make Uptown a destination for families, seniors, and youth alike. For businesses like mine, this means increased foot traffic and more support for local businesses.
I’m especially pleased to see that this project won’t cost taxpayers a cent. It’s a win for everyone! It’s refreshing to see council demonstrating the vision and leadership needed to make this a reality. Well done!
