Fun-filled summer ahead

Summer program registration is nearly here.

This Saturday, May 7, we invite you to visit www.webreg.city.whiterock.bc.ca to view the Summer Leisure Guide online and peruse the pages of activities.

Registration opens May 16 for members and May 19 for non-members.

Avoid missing out on the programs you love by registering early.

Free hearing tests for seniors are here again.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, May 18 at 10:30 a.m. and come down to Kent Street for your hearing test, courtesy of Boardwalk Hearing. Minor hearing-aid checks and cleaning are provided.

Seats are still available for two upcoming day trips with White Rock Leisure Services.

Our very own Kent Street chef, Pat Faulkner, will take you on a culinary adventure to Chinatown on Monday, June 13.

Explore this unique and wonderful area and discover where to buy many rare and interesting products. All you need to bring is a comfortable pair of walking shoes and your sense of adventure.

If you like travelling to Vancouver Island, then you may be interested in Victorian Victoria with Joy Brown departing on Thursday, June 23.

Visit three remarkable Victorian houses beginning with a guided tour of the Gingerbread style Emily Carr house followed by the Point Ellice House where lunch will be served in the lovely gardens. Finish the day with a stop at St. Ann’s Academy, a national historic site in downtown Victoria.
