SENIORS SCENE: Spring has sprung at Kent Street Activity Centre

Full slate of activities planned for the coming season at White Rock's seniors activity centre.

It’s Spring! The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and it’s time to get out into the garden.

Let us assist you in your gardening ventures. Come down to Kent Street this Saturday (April 26) from 9 a.m. until noon for the annual plant and bake sale fundraiser. Any donations of your excess outdoor plants, seedlings, herbs or bulbs would be greatly appreciated.

They can be dropped off on Friday, April 25 between the hours of 4-7 p.m. Support this lively centre and pick up some of nature’s beautiful creations.

• Enjoy a free smoothie and learn new tips to keep fit at the Benefits of Exercise workshop, scheduled for April 25 at the Centre for Active Living. Be sure to give us a call soon to register; 604-541-2199. Space is limited.

• Every Friday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. you are welcome to join Kent Street’s stitch and chat group and work on your own needlecraft, knitting, or quilting project in the company of others.

This is a great opportunity to socialize and share ideas. Call 604-541-2231 for more information; a White Rock Leisure Services membership is required.

• Find inspiration in the music of the Kent Street Choristers at their Celebrate Spring concert, May 23.

The stirring performances will be sure to bring a smile to your face. Tickets are available from any choir member or at the Kent St. Activity Centre for $15.
