Liberal Leader Mark Carney is set to take the stage in Surrey Wednesday evening for a "Canada Strong" rally as the federal election campaign enters its final stretch.
The location of the rally has not been released yet. Pre-registration for the event is required, and a valid ID is required to gain entry. The doors open at 6 p.m., and the event begins around 7:30 p.m.
Carney will share his plan for Canadians, notes a Liberal Party of Canada email. "A plan that builds the fastest-growing economy in the G7. A plan that stands strong against President Trump’s tariffs," reads the email.
This is the second rally Carney has held in the Lower Mainland; the first was held in Richmond on April 7.
Both the Liberals under Carney and the NDP under Jagmeet Singh released their costed platforms on Saturday, April 19. The Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre released their costed platform on Tuesday, April 22.
Canadians head to the polls on Monday, April 28.
