Fire crews in Delta responded to a boat fire in the Annacis Channel Friday evening (April 4).
A Black Press freelancer at the scene said that fire crews had to access the boat through the Annacis Lock-Up Storage Facility (555 Derwent Wy) on Annacis Island.
Heavy smoke could be seen several kilometres away, the freelancer noted.
