• The Table Tennis Activity Group at the Kent Street Activity Centre is always looking for new players to join them. With so many different times to play, including weekends, evenings and weekdays, there is no excuse that you can’t find something to fit your schedule. Not a Kent Street Activity Centre member? Come try out Table Tennis or any other activity group three times before becoming a paid member. • Volunteer drivers are needed to take seniors on day excursions this spring. Enjoy free meals and admission to a variety of fun destinations and events. Class 2 or 4 driver’s licence required. Call 604-541-2231 for more information.
• Are you a person that enjoys getting your exercise at the start of the day? On Mondays drop into Body Works 55+ from 8:45a.m. to 9:45a.m. or Fit Camp 55+ from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Kent Street Activity Centre. On Saturdays, try out Strength and Mobility, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or Warrior Rhythm at 9:45 a.m. These full body workouts will keep you strong and ready for your active lifestyle. •. Discover therapeutic uses of making mix-media art from cultures around the world. Learn mix-media art techniques such as decoupage, gold leaf gilding, image transfer, pouring, patination, distressing, imprints and masking. No experience required. • If you enjoy working with wood, join the Peninsula Woodcarvers group that meet every Tuesday at Semiahmoo Secondary School from 6 to 9 p.m. All skill levels are welcome. • Experience live music with friends and dance the evening away. Visit the Kent Street Activity Centre every Wednesday from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door, cash only. On March 5 enjoy music from the Alpiners, and on March 12 the Silver Stars will be on stage. Singles and couples 50+ welcome. A fun night out for only $7 for Kent Street Activity Centre members and $9 for non-members.
