With the approach of spring weather also comes a break for school-age youth with parents looking to keep their children occupied.
Filling that role could be the various programs running at 10 Surrey Libraries locations around the city, reads a release from Surrey Libraries.
With both in-person and online options, there are activities abound for many different interests.
Those who are stewards with the environment can take part in four new programs that will be running, consisting of Connect to Nature for Newcomers, Wild Animal Art, Bear Survival and Wonder of Owls.
Other in-person opportunities include Preteen Craft, STEM Grossology: Slime, Teen Gardening Fun and Teen Potions Party.
If online is preferred, resources digitally will also be available, including a program to learn how to code while playing an adventure game, called CodeCombat, Kanopy for Kids, which offers streaming movies and TV shows, and OverDrive to access eBooks and audiobooks for kids and teens.
The programs will be offered from March 17 to 30, with registration available at surreylibraries.ca/events
Other child and teen programs run year-round at library locations, with information available at surreylibraries.ca
