An annual holiday tradition is ready to set sail today on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.
The White Rock-based International Yacht Club will hold its Boat Light Parade – formerly known as the Christmas Sail Past – is planned for 5:30 p.m.
As in previous years, sailboats lit with Christmas lights and other holiday decor will make two passes throught the bay and past the White Rock pier. IYC port captain Bruce Blandy will lead the parade – his boat will feature Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on the bow.
“It’s a great way for us to enjoy one of the White Rock Christmas traditions,” he said in a news release.
