Two people were rushed to hospital after a collision involving a pedestrian Friday (April 13), according to a Black Press freelancer at the scene.
Police in Surrey responded to the call of a multiple-vehicle collision in the 6200 block of 144 Street around 8:37 p.m.
The freelancer said, the pedestrian was thrown several meters when they were struck by the vehicle.
The vehicle then collided with two other vehicles, causing one to flip on its side.
Police in Surrey stated in a news release Friday that two injured individuals who were taken to the hospital had “undetermined injuries.” According to the freelancer, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was in critical condition when they were transported to the hospital and one of the drivers suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team (CCIT) and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) were called to the scene to investigate the crash. Police closed the road for several hours while investigating.
