Police in Surrey have arrested a 59-year-old man for breaching his release order.
Robert Flynn was initially arrested on July 21, 2024, and charged with assault, possessing and pointing a firearm, and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Flynn was released from custody on Aug. 6 with a promise to pay $2000 bail and with conditions which included no contact "direct or indirect" with the victim, reads a Surrey RCMP release Wednesday (Sept. 11).
Police allege he breached these conditions between Aug. 25 and 31.
On Sept. 3, "unendorsed arrest warrants" were issued for breaching his release order. The Surrey RCMP sent out a news release on the morning of Sept. 11 asking for the public's help locating Flynn as he had no fixed address and they could not locate him.
Flynn was later arrested for breaching his release order, according to a Surrey RCMP release Thursday (Sept. 12)
According to Court Services Online, he remains in custody until his next court appearance on Monday (Sept. 16).
