Some people say wellness is a marathon, not a sprint. At Oceana PARC, it’s everything that makes life the best it can be.

The White Rock independent-living community is a leader in cultivating active, healthy lifestyles for aging adults who want to prioritize wellness in their later years. This is due in no small part to the PARC Active Living program. Developed as part of scientific research into independence and aging, the comprehensive program comes packaged as part of the PARC offering – helping residents stay healthy and self-reliant for as long as possible.

Our PARC Fit program offers a variety of fitness classes to suit every ability, whether the resident is fully mobile, or using a cane or a walker. From pole walking to weight and circuit training, classes are creative and tailored to aging adults. PARC Fit classes are lively and well-attended. There’s a class for everyone! Mindfulness and meditation and social programs round out the wellness spectrum.

“Our goal is for it to be fun, inspiring and soulful,” says Oceana PARC Active Living Manager Sue Bolton. “We’re enriching the body and the mind through physical fitness, social pursuits, emotional health and wonderfully tasty, nutritious meals.”
