Achieving a kitchen that serves both form and function starts with an experienced designer who understands today’s products, innovations, space-saving ideas and design that stand the test of time.

Your kitchen and bathroom need to stand the test of time – both in design and function.

How do you create a kitchen that serves both needs, one that you are sure to love?

It starts with an experienced designer who understands today’s products, innovations, space-saving ideas, and of course trends that actually stand the test of time. A designer who has the expertise to ensure your renovation runs as smooth as possible.

“Kitchens and bathrooms are the two most important rooms in terms of investment and daily use,” says design leader Jodie Hall, from Merit Kitchens Design Centre in Langley, which recently moved to a bigger and brighter facility on the Langley Bypass – Directly across from Willowbrook Mall.

A few key points to consider:

  1. Do you have a renovation end date in mind? Jodie and the rest of her design team know how to shine a light on construction timelines. “Our philosophy is simple: Customer Service Excellence. Helping the homeowner navigate their way through a major kitchen renovation is what makes the difference in the long run.” Hall says.
  2. What are your goals and what’s your budget? The value in a custom kitchen compared to what you’ll find at big box stores involves more than quality and selection; it’s also about creating a space that truly works for you and your lifestyle. During your free in-home design consultation, your designer will measure your space, listen to your kitchen must-haves and discuss wants versus needs. Based on your goals and budget, “we present different options and find ways to maximize your space. It’s not just design and not just budget, it’s both,” Hall says.
  3. What’s your style and how do you use your space? Do you cook or entertain a lot? Do you have a busy lifestyle, or more relaxed? Do you have pets? Children? “The more we get to know you, the easier it is to help you create your dream space,” Hall says. “Space optimization is one of the greatest things a designer can do for you. It’s amazing how much wasted space we find in most kitchens and bathrooms.”
