Rasoi Fine Indian Cuisine has delighted Surrey diners for more than a decade and today, owner Uday Singh remains driven by a simple philosophy: Keep making delicious traditional and contemporary Indian food that customers enjoy.

“Our focus is on maintaining the quality of our dishes and ensuring everyone who comes to Rasoi leaves happy,” Singh says.

Singh first worked as a Rasoi employee for two years then as owner. “We bought the restaurant in 2022  and since then, it's been a journey of passion and commitment to providing great food," says Singh, whose experience in cooking spans more than 20 years. 

This January marks three years under his full ownership, a milestone he's eager to celebrate with the loyal clientele Rasoi has cultivated.

Crafting an authentic Indian dining experience

At the heart of Rasoi is its carefully crafted menu, which features a variety of Indian dishes, such as a creamy butter chicken and a spicy lamb vindaloo. There's food for every taste, from tender tandoori meats to a vegetarian curry. Singh takes pride in the restaurant’s ability to create "all curries, crafted from all fresh ingredients." 

Signature dishes include Paneer Tikka and Chicken Tandoori, as well as Lamb Korma and Karahi Prawn. With a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and traditional recipes, Singh’s goal is simple: “Good food makes people happy and healthy. That’s why I love doing this.”

Community and cuisine

In a community as diverse as Surrey, Rasoi’s welcoming atmosphere has made it a favourite among locals. "The community response has been wonderful," Singh says. "Everyone likes our food, and they come back because they know they’ll leave satisfied."

Rasoi welcomes guests for lunch or dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. Singh and his team work tirelessly in the kitchen to meet the high standards they’ve set for themselves. “A day in the life here is all about cooking, prepping and perfecting the dishes to be enjoyed by our guests.”
